The dark phase. Matter, crisis, dissolution: the point from which transformation must necessarily begin.
A real place in the Alpago, a house marked by alchemical symbols and a natural bridge into the narrative world of The Alchemist of Sacile.
Before the novel comes the place itself. In Valdenoghèr, near Tambre d'Alpago, the Alchemist House preserves a sixteenth-century core and symbolic references connected with alchemy. Its darkened rooms and the Athanor, the alchemist's ancient furnace, make this building far more than a simple tourist curiosity.
The video lets you see the house up close. It is the point where the cultural route and the narrative route stop running in parallel and begin to intertwine.
The museum house makes it possible to tell alchemy not as an esoteric backdrop, but as a path of transformation. That same key makes this place so powerful within The Alchemist's Ways.
The dark phase. Matter, crisis, dissolution: the point from which transformation must necessarily begin.
Purification. After darkness comes separation, the search for clarity and a new form.
Completion. The process reaches its red phase: not a return to the starting point, but matter already transformed.
The Alchemist House is not used as mere scenery. In Alessandro Tonussi's narrative universe it becomes a passage between territory, the memory of the Serenissima and alchemical research.
The Alchemist of Sacile begins between Sacile and Venice; then the saga expands. Tambre thus enters a broader narrative geography in which readers can recognise and visit places that continue beyond the page.
Alessandro Tonussi is Representative of the Casa Museo dell'Alchimista di Tambre. The connection with the place is therefore not only literary: it is part of a project for cultural and territorial enhancement.

From the Alchemist House the route returns towards Sacile and expands to the places of the Serenissima: castles, fortresses and territories that become a living part of the story in the novels.
